Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium (PP) is a government initiative that provides additional funding to disadvantaged pupils. Research shows that pupils from deprived backgrounds underachieve compared to their peers. The PP initiative was started to help schools close the attainment gap between pupils from low income families and their peers. The government identifies pupils entitled to free school meals and looked after children, as indicators of further support required, and provide a fixed amount of funding per pupil.

We are committed to spending the money provided for disadvantaged students in an effective way, such that it has a direct impact on removing barriers to learning and achieving positive educational outcomes.

During 2023-2024 we expect to receive Pupil Premium funding of £76,090 and Sports Premium funding of £16,640.
